All Terrain Armored Transport AT-AT This is probably the most detailed AT-AT ever made. JAS joined our crew several months ago and he's an excellent artist. However, this model most likely won't be available to the public.

Leg Mechanics
Ive had the Leg Mechanics done for a while now, but wanted to improve on the Foot Mechanics, correcting a few things which caused the delay in posting. That was done to bring all the Leg related stuff up to date so it could all be rendered together. Since this is the last of the untextured Leg renders, I wanted to do something a bit different .. i.e a couple of Hi-Res images ...
The reason behind wanting to do a couple of higher res pics was to show the entire leg for a closer look without having to chop the larger renders into sections within the confines of my usual 1024x768 size WIP images.

For the sake of accuracy with regards to Movie Reference, some small adjustments were needed, so both the larger images of the Leg have been updated.

Description:
FINAL HEAD Model - Hi-Res Image #1
Actual Image Size: 2567 x 2131
The Final Head Exterior .... Basically this is a complete redo for the Final Hi-Res version, .. with the result being a much better quality mesh, and a far more accurate model ... staying faithful to the Studio Model with its Exterior, its not plastered with detail, i.e plain areas are kept plain etc .... The heavier detailing will be the interior ....
A note about the Head Lights:
As Im covering every detail of this vehicle, I had to include the Head Lights, but since there is no visual reference, and to my knowledge the Head Lights were never built on the Studio Models, ... , obviously they were not needed for daylight sequences in The Empire Strikes Back, so it was only until Return of the Jedi, that a night scene required that lights be included on the head, .. with no closeups of the Head for that scene, they were more than likely only small bulbs inserted either side of the Main Cannons. So my only guide for the Head Lights were their location and approximate size, along with being aware that they do not interfer with the Main Cannon's recoil. I kept their design simple, but making sure they look right in terms of visually matching the rest of the vehicle's heavy duty appearence.
Im aware that the Access Door Frame differs than that of the Live action set (as seen in the inset pic), .. The Cockpit door frame will match that reference. Since I have some freedom with the interior, I just wanted to incorporate the Concept design into the model aswell for the Main Body Interior. |

Update 28 |
 |
|
Description:
Thought id do a couple of pics showing Key Details for the Cockpit leading up to the Final Large Format images of the Completed Head Interior (with regards to modelling). The first of the two is the Targeting Viewer, ... still not quite right yet, a few tweaks required here and there, but nothing major, and threw some temp textures on it to get some idea of what it may look like ....
The next pic will show the Command Console ... |
